Privacy notice
Last updated: 3 July 2026
This notice explains how Parkya handles personal data collected through the waitlist form on www.parkya.co.uk. It applies alongside our wider Innuvo privacy policy, which covers general website use across all our brands.
Who we are
Parkya is a trading name of Innuvo, which is itself a trading name of Shaun Lawrence, a sole trader based in Cornwall, United Kingdom. That means Shaun Lawrence is the data controller responsible for your personal data.
Shaun Lawrence is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller.
What data we collect
When you submit the Parkya waitlist form, we collect:
- Your email address — so we can tell you when Parkya launches.
- Your IP address — for security, abuse prevention and basic fraud detection.
- Your browser user agent — the technical string your browser sends automatically.
- A timestamp — when you signed up.
- The page you signed up from — for example our holding page or full site.
We do not collect your name, phone number, address, payment details or any special-category data at this stage.
Why we collect it
We use your details only to keep you informed about the Parkya launch and to occasionally send you related updates before we go live. We will not use your email address for unrelated marketing, and we will never sell or rent it to anyone else.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent (UK GDPR, Article 6(1)(a)) — you actively enter your email and press "Join the waitlist" knowing what you're signing up for. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see section 7 below).
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted third parties to actually deliver the service:
- Mailgun Technologies, Inc. — used to deliver waitlist emails to us and, later, launch announcements to you. Mailgun processes your email address on our instructions as our data processor. See their privacy policy.
- Our web host — the server that runs www.parkya.co.uk stores waitlist submissions in a log file for a short period as a backup, in case Mailgun fails.
Your data is stored within the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA).
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist emails until 12 months after Parkya launches, at which point we delete anyone who has not converted to an active user. If you ask to be removed sooner (see below), we'll delete your details immediately.
The backup log file on our server is rotated and purged on a rolling 90-day basis.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access).
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong (rectification).
- Ask us to delete your data (erasure / "right to be forgotten").
- Withdraw your consent at any time — this stops us contacting you further and removes your entry from the waitlist.
- Object to how we use your data, or ask us to restrict processing.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
To exercise any of these rights, just email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy request" and we'll respond within 30 days.
Cookies and tracking
The Parkya website currently does not set any cookies, use analytics, or embed advertising pixels. If that changes in future, we'll update this notice and, where required, add a cookie banner asking for your consent first.
Changes to this notice
If we make material changes we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the change affects how we use your data, email you before it takes effect.
